Get to know a bit about me

My education, training, and personal experiences have all led me to the coaching field.

I earned a BA in History from Trinity College, Hartford, CT; an MSW from The Silver School of Social Work, NYU; and a professional certification in coaching from The Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). In each of these experiences, I loved understanding how people respond to their environments, what motivates them, and how they overcome obstacles.

For several years of my early career in corporate training and development, I focused on facilitating the growth of employees at various worldwide firms by fostering communication and management skills. As a parent, I have been devoted to helping our children rise to their potential and achieve their goals at each stage of their lives. Now, as a coach, I support adults looking to create a new chapter, reach their potential, and thrive professionally and personally. Three common themes have underscored my values throughout my adult life: development, enrichment, and fulfillment.

At age 11, I faced the sudden loss of a parent from cardiac arrest, and in my early 30’s I lost a sibling to cancer. These losses have shaped my outlook on life and taught me vital lessons about working through life’s transitions. More specifically, I learned how to move from a place of pain to one of acceptance, search for resolution, and ignite a desire to progress.

My philosophy boils down to one premise: learning is a lifelong process.

At any age you have the opportunity to grow, broaden your horizons, and achieve your goals. If you are willing to be flexible, open-minded, and non-judgmental, and if you welcome the multiplicity of ideas and possibilities, then you have the opportunity to thrive. A new life challenge need not be paralyzing; rather, it can be an opportunity to harness your potential by translating options into intentions and dreams into realities.

This is what it means to Thrive365.

To thrive every day is to strive to live your best life. None of us is perfect. Thrive365 is about accepting your imperfections, fits and starts, doubts and insecurities, and moving forward anyway — it is about investing the time you need to progress to the next stage of your life. The Thrive365 mindset transforms setbacks into beacons that help you to either stay the course or find a new direction. If you take the time to live consciously in the present while welcoming the future by embracing new possibilities, you will always have options to succeed. I look forward to partnering with you as you seek new beginnings, a sense of fulfillment, and meaningful growth in your own life.

Life is a dynamic process — there is no way to avoid change.

Change can be difficult and often brings waves of hope, anxiety, confusion, and even excitement.

How we approach life transition is a choice. Becoming aware of your thoughts, mindset, and perceptions will help you intentionally navigate your life through change.
